SUN PARLOUR FOLK MUSIC SOCIETY

INSPIRING AND PROMOTING THE ARTS

Together we can become a world-class music festival!

After 3 years of hard work, the first annual Kingsville Folk Music Festival opened the gates in 2014 in Kingsville, Ontario and welcomed visitors from as far away as Florida, Maryland, Quebec and British Columbia.

Held annually, the 2nd weekend of August in Canada’s most southerly town, Lakeside Park is transformed as over 30 award-winning performers entertain on 5 stages. With over 100 weekend performances and workshops, artisan vendors, local food, wines and brews and an entire area dedicated to children’s entertainment, the Festival  has something for everyone.

The Festival is produced by the Sun Parlour Folk Music Society, an Ontario registered non profit. The Society’s mandate is to raise money, through the Festival and concert series, to provide financial assistance to area youth to access the arts: the MAY FUNd (Music and Arts for Youth). In order to encourage youth participation, all of the Society’s events, including the Festival, are free admission to ages 16 and under.

The Festival relies on government funding, municipal and community contributions. Your financial support enables us to present the Festival and continue to bring world class folk music to southwestern Ontario.
